Old Mondstadt Fanzine

The focus of this zine is "Old Mondstadt.” This refers to Decarabian’s Mondstadt, the time period 2600 years ago. This is not a general Mondstadt zine.Pieces in this zine should have at least some focus on Venti, the Nameless Bard, the Red-Haired Warrior, Amos, the Gunnhildr of the time, Venerare Lawrence, Leonard, Decarabian, or others who may have been alive during this period. Alternately, pieces should focus on the location or lore of Decarabian's Mondstadt in some way.You are free to interpret this theme however you wish, and can set your piece in other periods or include other characters, so long as it is clearly tied to Old Mondstad in some way.This project is intended as an act of rebellion as much as it is an act of creation. We want to build a space where artists and creatives can voice their collective frustrations, anger, grief, and exhaustion, and transform them into something that holds personal meaning. This project stands as our own reminder to never stop fighting back against the oppressive forces that seek to govern our lives.Because of this, the zine may allow dark themes such as anger, despair, grief, as well as depictions of emotions and situations that may be triggering, particularly in the current political climate. Due to the subject matter, it is also highly likely that main-character deaths may be depicted explicitly or implied. Our aim is not to have this zine leave you in despair, but rather to contrast that despair with the hope you can find when you fight out the other side of it. However, potentially triggering themes and content may be present.

Application Guidelines

All works included in the finished zine will be strictly safe for work. As such, please only include SFW (not sexually explicit) works within your application. Application pieces may include blood, death, and horror elements, but please tag or indicate possible triggers where applicable.You may apply to more than one position.Applicants will not benefit or be penalised based on their social media following or the nature of the content they create.Any discovery of plagiarism or AI generated works will result in immediate disqualification.

Will shipping be included?
_{Some shipping may be permitted, but is not the focus of this zine. Minor or background shipping might be present, and select ship-focused pieces may be approved at the moderators’ discretion. However, this is not a ship zine, and submissions should not centre primarily on romantic pairings. This policy is tentative and may be revised following the interest check. Any revision would further limit or remove shipping; the zine will not shift toward a ship-focused format. Any and all other forms of close relationships (eg. friendships, familial relationships, platonic and qpp bonds, etc) may be portrayed and are encouraged.}Will AUs be included?

Contributors may make changes to the story, characters, history, or worldbuilding, including altering outcomes such as who lives or dies, or exploring alternate interpretations of established lore. Pieces may be based on previous understandings of lore, headcanons, or preferred interpretations. Setting divergences, such as modern or non-Teyvat AUs, are unlikely to be permitted.
